Sometimes couples come together thanks to the simplest of things. In John’s case, all it took to get the attention of his future was one funny joke in his 9th grade science class. After that it didn’t take a whole lot longer for him to have the opportunity to make Stephanie laugh on a regular basis. These high school sweethearts, who were also the prom king and queen, almost fit the description of a movie script when you discuss their story. When John proposed to her, he was so nervous that he didn’t give her the custom wooden box that was meant to hold her ring until after she said yes. Although, he never forgot to give her the congratulatory balloon once she said yes. This hilarious gesture was described as being done “in typical John fashion.” This ceremony took place in the historic building surrounded by beautiful oak trees known as the Women’s Club of Coconut Grove, with a vintage feel you’ve got to see to believe.
